Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service set forth the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between SCHROE (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator") and its members regarding the use of the website and related services (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

Article 2 (Definitions)

1. "Service" refers to all features provided within the website and mobile app by the Operator, including tarot readings, MBTI in-depth analysis, zodiac readings, trait analysis (Ocean trait report), fortune cookies, and more. 2. "Member" refers to a customer who accesses the Service operated by the Operator, agrees to these Terms, and uses the Service provided by the Operator. 3. "Paid Service" refers to various digital content (such as AI in-depth analysis reports) provided by the Operator for a fee. 4. "AI Analysis" refers to analysis results automatically generated based on the member's input data using external AI services.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of Terms)

1. The Operator shall post the contents of these Terms on the initial screen or menu of the Service so that members can easily access them. 2. The Operator may amend these Terms to the extent that they do not violate applicable laws, including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. 3. When amending the Terms, the Operator shall provide notice at least 7 days before the effective date (30 days in case of changes unfavorable to users) via in-app notification or email. Members who do not agree to the amended Terms may discontinue use of the Service and withdraw their membership.

Article 4 (Membership Registration and Service Agreement)

1. Membership registration is completed when a person aged 14 or older agrees to these Terms, fills in the required member information as prescribed by the Operator, submits a membership application, and the Operator approves it. 2. The service agreement is considered established at the time the Operator notifies the applicant of the completion of registration. 3. Membership registration is conducted through social login (Kakao, Google, Naver, LINE) or email login. 4. The Operator may refuse approval or subsequently terminate the service agreement in the following cases: - If the applicant has previously lost membership status under these Terms - If the applicant uses a false name or another person's identity - If false information is provided or required information is omitted - If a minor under 14 registers without the consent of a legal guardian 5. If there are changes to the information provided at the time of registration, the member must promptly update it directly within the Service or notify us by email ([email protected]). 6. Withdrawal can be requested directly on the My Page. Upon withdrawal, tarot/MBTI/zodiac records are immediately deleted. Payment records are retained for 5 years in accordance with the Electronic Commerce Act and then destroyed. Re-registration is restricted for 7 days after withdrawal.

Article 5 (Provision and Modification of Services)

1. The Operator provides the following services: - Tarot card interpretation and AI in-depth analysis (Major Arcana, Full Deck comprehensive reading, Daily card, Theme-based reading) - MBTI in-depth analysis content (Human, Pet) - Zodiac reading services (Daily reading, Compatibility, Big 3 chart) - Trait analysis service (Ocean trait report: analysis of the 5 major traits and 30 detailed facets) - Fortune cookie experience service - Other services developed by the Operator or provided through partnerships 2. The Service is available year-round in principle, unless there are operational or technical issues. The Operator may temporarily suspend the Service for scheduled maintenance or other necessary reasons. 3. If the Service is to be terminated, notice shall be provided at least 30 days before the termination date via in-app notification or email.

Article 6 (Fees and Payment)

1. Payment for the Service may be made, on the web, by credit card, simple payment services (such as KakaoPay), or other methods recognized by the Operator, and in the mobile app, through in-app purchase (IAP) via the Apple App Store or Google Play. 2. The prices of paid services are as displayed on each service screen, and these prices include VAT (Value Added Tax). 3. Paid services (premium services) are digital content. Analysis begins automatically upon payment completion, and the service is delivered immediately upon completion of the analysis.

Article 7 (Withdrawal of Subscription and Refunds)

1. Paid services (such as AI in-depth analysis reports) provided by the Operator are classified as "digital content." The service is considered delivered once the results have been viewed or the content has been exposed. 2. Accordingly, after viewing the service results, withdrawal of subscription (refund) is restricted in accordance with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and the Digital Content Industry Development Act. 3. However, a full refund is available in the following cases: - If the results are not delivered within 24 hours of payment due to a system error - If duplicate payment has occurred 4. Refund requests should be submitted through customer service ([email protected]), and the Operator will take action within 3 business days after verifying the reason. 5. For purchases made through in-app purchase in the mobile app (Apple App Store, Google Play), the refund policy and processing follow the policies and procedures of the respective store (Apple, Google), and refunds may need to be requested directly through each store.

Article 8 (AI-Generated Content)

1. The Operator's paid services (such as premium analysis) include content automatically generated using external AI services. 2. AI-generated analysis results are based on data entered by the member (selected cards, test responses, date of birth, etc.) and do not guarantee accuracy or certainty about the future. 3. AI analysis results are provided for entertainment and self-reflection purposes and do not replace professional advice in areas such as medicine, law, or finance. 4. AI analysis features may be modified or temporarily restricted due to policy changes or technical issues by the AI service provider. 5. MBTI is a registered trademark of The Myers-Briggs Company. This service is not an official MBTI assessment but a personality type test independently developed by the Operator.

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

1. The tarot, zodiac reading, and MBTI analysis results provided by the Operator are based on automated algorithms and AI, and the accuracy of the results or certainty about the future is not guaranteed. 2. The final judgment and responsibility for actions taken based on the Service results lie with the member. The Operator shall not be held legally liable for outcomes resulting from reliance on these results. 3. The Operator is exempt from liability for service provision in cases of force majeure, including natural disasters or equivalent circumstances. 4. Payment processing for paid services is conducted through external payment gateway (PG) companies, simple payment service providers, and app store in-app purchase providers (Apple, Google). The Operator is not responsible for approval, denial, delay, errors, or other responses generated by the payment gateway or simple payment provider systems. However, if duplicate or excessive charges are confirmed due to a system error on the Operator's part, a full refund will be issued upon verification. 5. If damage occurs to the user due to reasons attributable to the Operator, the Operator shall compensate for such damage. However, liability may be limited in the absence of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Operator.

Article 10 (Copyright Ownership)

1. Copyright and other intellectual property rights to works created by the Operator belong to the Operator. 2. Copyright and usage rights to AI-generated analysis results belong to the Operator. 3. Members shall not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes or allow third parties to use it without the prior consent of the Operator.

Article 11 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)

1. Disputes arising between the Operator and members shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. 2. Lawsuits regarding disputes arising from the use of the Service shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.

Article 12 (SCHROE Tarot for ChatGPT)

1. This section also applies to non-members using SCHROE Tarot for ChatGPT. No SCHROE registration is required. Users must be at least 14 and must also meet OpenAI’s age and service requirements. 2. SCHROE does not charge for the plugin. Purchasing a paid product on the separate SCHROE website is not a condition of plugin use. The plugin does not execute purchases or payments. OpenAI’s separate terms and charges may apply to ChatGPT use. 3. Products purchased separately on the website are subject to their displayed prices and payment and refund terms. Using free plugin features creates no obligation to purchase a paid product. 4. Card interpretations are for entertainment and reflection. They do not establish facts, reveal another person’s thoughts, or guarantee future events or financial outcomes. They do not replace medical diagnosis, legal judgment, investment decisions or trading. 5. Declining optional statistics does not prevent card selection or readings. The ChatGPT plugin section of SCHROE’s privacy policy governs personal-data processing. Contact [email protected] for support. 6.
