Gemini and Pisces compatibility is 47, so why the pull? What long-term 45 tells you
Gemini and Pisces compatibility is 47 overall (78-pair average 61.0) and 45 long-term (average 55.3). How the pair score of 42 pulls it down, and what communication 56 means.
SCHROE Editors
Gemini and Pisces compatibility scores 47 overall on SCHROE (schroe.kr). Of the 78 sign pairs, 61 score higher, and three pairs share 62nd place at 47. Yet over the past 30 days on Naver search, this pair's page was shown 8 times and clicked twice, a 25% click-through rate. The score is low, but people still click.
This piece follows two threads: why a low-scoring pair still draws clicks, and what the long-term score of 45 should actually be compared against. The second needs a correction first.
Why 45 should not be set against 61.0
The working notes for this article said "long-term 45 vs average 61.0." Recomputing all 78 pairs from the SCHROE zodiac score table shows that 61.0 is the average of the overall score, not of long-term. The 78-pair long-term average is 55.3.
Mixing the two inflates the gap. Set 45 against 61.0 and it looks like 16 points; compared like with like, long-term is 10.3 points below its own average. The overall score of 47 is 14.0 below the overall average of 61.0. Here are all four metrics against their own averages:
| Metric | Gemini × Pisces | 78-pair average (same metric) | Gap | |---|---|---|---| | Overall | 47 | 61.0 | −14.0 | | Chemistry | 55 | 63.5 | −8.5 | | Communication | 56 | 61.9 | −5.9 | | Long-term | 45 | 55.3 | −10.3 |
All four sit below average, but by very different amounts. Overall has the widest gap; communication the narrowest. The reason is in how the scores are built.
How 47 is made
SCHROE blends two ingredients: a pair score set directly for the two signs, and a score for their element combination. Gemini is air and Pisces is water, so the combination is water and air.
- Pair score, Gemini × Pisces: 42
- Water–air element score: 52
- Overall: the average of 42 and 52, which is 47
Chemistry and long-term come straight from the element combination: water and air gives chemistry 55 and long-term 45. So long-term 45 is not unique to this pair. All nine pairs where an air sign (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) meets a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) share it. Only two long-term levels sit below 45, at 32 and 40, covering 18 pairs.
Communication is calculated a little differently. Take 0.45 of the overall score (47) and 0.55 of the water–air communication value (60) and you get 54.15. A softening step then pulls the result 28% of the way toward a reference point of 62 so on-screen numbers don't swing too far, which gives 56. That softening is why communication lands closest to average: low scores rise a little, high scores come down a little.
42 sits low for both signs
What drags the overall down is the pair score of 42. Lining up the pair scores each sign gets with all twelve signs shows just how low it is.
For Gemini, 42 is second from the bottom of twelve. Only Scorpio (38) is lower, and Cancer ties at 42. Gemini's highest matches are Aquarius (82) and Libra (80), fellow air signs.
For Pisces, 42 is the very lowest, shared with Leo and Sagittarius. Pisces' top matches are Cancer and Scorpio (both 88), fellow water signs.
So each sign scores highest within its own element, and when they meet each other the score drops near the floor. Gemini's twelve-pair average is 59.8 and Pisces' is 62.9; the 42 they share is 17.8 and 20.9 points below those.
Why click on a low score?
Eight impressions and two clicks need careful reading. Eight is a very small number: one more click would make it 37.5%, one fewer 12.5%. So we can't claim 25% means the page performs unusually well. What it does suggest is that a low-scoring pair gets clicked about as often as it is shown.
Here is what the SCHROE data can explain.
First, the score is right in the title: "Gemini and Pisces Compatibility: Score 47, Chemistry and Cautions." Many searchers are already one Gemini and one Pisces. For them, 47 immediately raises the question "why so low?" A high score gets a glance; a low score makes you want the reason.
Second, the page doesn't end on a warning. Alongside "a relationship with many topics to work through," it says that knowing your differences early and adjusting can make a relationship last longer. Someone holding a low score has a reason to read to the end.
Third, the metrics aren't uniformly low. Overall is 14 points under average, communication only 5.9. Inside the single number 47 is a story of "talking mostly works," and you only see it by clicking.
Friday night, planning the stall
Haley (Gemini) and Noel (Pisces) have signed up to sell handmade postcards at the neighborhood flea market tomorrow. At 10 p.m. on Friday, four boxes of cards are spread across the living-room floor.
Haley has three plans in her phone's notes already: what to price a single card at, whether to bundle three, whether to greet customers first. As she talks, three plans become five. "Oh, and if someone posts a photo, we give them an extra card."
Noel doesn't answer. He lays the cards out again by color, until the row shifting from sea green to violet feels right. When Haley asks, "So are we bundling or not?", Noel pauses a long time and says only, "I don't want to break this row."
This is where they miss each other. To Haley, Noel's answer sounds like a dodge. To Noel, Haley's question sounds like a request to chop the row he just built into numbers. On the score table, this is what the pair score of 42 points to. Neither is wrong; each is speaking in the way farthest from what comes easiest to the other.
What saves the night is talking. Haley sets her phone down and asks, "Is this row the order customers will see?" Noel nods. Haley offers: "Then keep the row, and only bundle the three cards at the end." Noel smiles for the first time that evening.
Communication 56 points to scenes like this. It doesn't click at once, but when one person changes the question, a path opens. Long-term 45 means this night won't be the only one. At the next market and the one after, Haley will keep adding plans and Noel will keep guarding the mood. Each time, someone has to change the question.
How to use this score
Gemini and Pisces compatibility at 47 is not a verdict that they don't fit. The score table tells you three things:
- Most of the low score comes from the pair score of 42: each sign's most comfortable way of working sits far from the other's.
- Long-term 45 is shared by all nine air–water pairs. It says less about this couple's weakness than about an element mix that needs steady effort. Compare it with 55.3, not 61.0.
- Communication 56 is the metric closest to average. Talking is this pair's most useful tool, as long as it means changing the question rather than adding more words.
A score only shows how alike two people are. Knowing the differences in advance shows you where the adjusting will happen.
